BOOK ONE: THE GHOSTS OF PAN ANAREL

The Soul-Stealer is nothing short of a monster—a specter who steals lives and scatters nightmares in his wake. And for years, Castilla has been powerless to stop him—until a chance prediction ends up revealing that three children may hold the key to his defeat.

This should be the happiest time of their lives—but for Drew, Ash, and Lavinia, starting at the House of the Scroll means it’s almost time to confront their fate. As they forge new friendships and dabble in magic, they try to ignore the danger lurking at the edges of their world.

But when specters begin to pop up around the city, they realize the Soul-Stealer is up to something—and that their destiny is inescapable. Sooner or later, they’ll have to confront the horror only they may be able to vanquish.

BOOK TWO: THE VISCOUNTESS OF EUREAN FELLS

School wasn’t supposed to be this difficult.

Lavinia, Drew, and Ash have survived their first encounter with the Soul-Stealer—but their troubles are far from over. Castilla still brews in the midst of war. And to make matters worse, the Senate has begun to debate a measure to restrict the rights of magical species. When the country needs to be at its strongest, it threatens to tear itself apart from the inside out.

The fight hits home when Elodie’s family aligns themselves with the new bill, driving a wedge between the girl and her friends. But politics aren’t the only poison seeping into their friendship. The Sweeneys belong to the Hooks—and someday, Elodie will have to reconcile their murderous intentions with her growing care for Lavinia.

A choice looms before her: her family and the cause they’ve been fighting for since before she was born; or the life of a girl who’s come to mean so much to her.

The question remains—will Elodie be able to choose?
